Watercress Asian Bistro was born in the tradition of Lily Koo Lei's father's legacy. Watercress' story is about the escape of only two of Lily Koo Lei's entire family from China during the Communist's takeover. Lily's father grew up in Shanghai where he developed his appreciation of good food. Lily's grandfather was a wealthy salt merchant and his brother was a Feudal Lord.
