Our Logo says it all! Red & White is a wine merchant, tasting venue and wine bar. From the outside of the store it is easy to identify us as a retail wine store. Upon entering, customers delight in the relaxing environment featuring a tranquil wine bottle water fountain surrounded by walls and racks of neatly organized wine bottles snuggled into their redwood homes. Walking a bit further one realizes that it is so much more when greeted by a cozy wine bar atmosphere. We are often asked, How does this work? Trying wine before buying has been around for centuries as wineries have offered through tours of their vineyard or sampling in their tasting rooms; at Red & White we bring all those wineries to you. We are excited to offer you the opportunity to try wines from all over the world in our tasting room/wine bar that features a unique preservation system of over 32 wines and ports. Tasting notes are provided to help you with your selections while you shop. You can be the wine expert with the opportunity to rate and describe the nose and palate characteristics of each wine during your tasting experience. A great selection of affordable wines makes up a majority of our inventory with over 1700 labels to choose from and over 7500 bottles of wine on our sales floor. Stock up and save! Jim and Susan Cossette had a vision to create a relaxing shopping atmosphere along with a cozy wine bar area offering more choices of superb wine by the glass, which was something that they longed to find in this area. The other concept was to take the guesswork out of buying wine. Why take chances? We wanted people to taste what they were buying. You wouldn't buy a car without a test-drive, or try on a pair of shoes before taking them home and you shouldn't have to guess when buying wine. Jim and Susan decided to follow this dream that had been nurtured since 1999 and finally the birth of Red & White in November 2004 became a reality.
