This is the North Coast Regional Offices for San Diego's Health and Human Services Agency. The agency operates six different clinics in the area for North County residents. Located in the compound is the pediatrics division for the clinics. The clinic also operates and drives the ‘Salud Ambulante!’ – a mobile medical center that visits the area’s migrant worker community and their families. NCHS is not a free clinic, but for those who lack health insurance, the patient registration staff will conduct a financial screening to determine co-costs of care based on sliding scale discount. Also located in the center are offices for private doctors and other medical health professionals, who may or may not be associated with the NCHS.
