Ramirez Canyon Park is located on the former estate of Barbra Streisand, who donated the property to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy in 1993. It serves as the headquarters for the state agency and features a variety natural features. At this time, the park is only open to the public by appointment. The California Coastal Commission recently approved a plan for overnight camping and private events at the park, but that plan is on hold following a lawsuit from the City of Malibu and local property owners.
