This is the Oceanside location of Swami’s Café, a local chain of casual restaurants serving breakfast and lunch. It has two sister restaurants, in nearby Encinitas and La Mesa. The menu uses local fresh produce and offers healthier options than a traditional diner. It serves fresh whole grains and oatmeal, and fresh juices are squeezed to order, with wheatgrass and vegetarian specials. It prepares breakfast burritos, whole-grain pancakes and waffles. For lunch there are sandwich wraps, sandwiches and stir-fry dishes made with tofu. There’s a small outdoor café area that has views of the ocean; otherwise the dining room and takeout options are available. Swami’s also does catering for larger events.
