Buford's Family Restaurant offers breakfast and lunch. Owned by Karen Dole since 2007, it has been in Groton for about 50 years. Within there are wooden tables as well as booths for seating. Black and white photographs decorate the walls.
Dole describes her restaurant as "community oriented" and notes that it gets a lot of regulars from the neighborhoods nearby. Brave diners are welcome to try "The Pancake Challenge:" finishing three plate sized pancakes in order to win a free meal and getting their photo up on a poster board inside. Other meals include omelets, breakfasts sandwiches, deli sandwiches and ice cream.
The restaurant also offers a catering service, which can do anything from wraps and sandwiches to beef and chicken dishes. Buford's can provide staff for the event.
