For 16 years, Douglas Zumbach worked as a vice president of human resources before he decided to switch careers and sell coffee. Born in Westchester, he chose New Canaan for his shop because, "it's an upscale community, a nice community with good, friendly people." Zumbach roasts 260 pounds of coffee beans daily. "We're part of the neighborhood," he said. "I live in New Canaan. We're not a major corporation, we're proud to be part of the community."
