Susansnaps is a pastry shop founded by mother and daughter team, Laura and Susan Carver. The bakery started when mother Laura Carver set out to create a treat for her husband and daughter to sooth their stomachs when they began undergoing cancer treatment. The stomach-soothing ingredient also happened to be a tasty one: ginger. Today the shop offers five flavors of ginger snaps: coco, citrus, original, aloha and pnutty. The aroma of ginger floats throughout the shop and customers can snack on samples. Rachel Ray named Susansnaps "snack of the day."
