More than a tavern, Sharkey's is a place families stop for lunch and golfers meet meet after a round of golf at West River Golf and Country Club, with which it shares a building.
This is an unpretentious spot, where the chef is likely to stop by your table to see how you are doing. Sit inside, or choose to sit outside on the patio, where you can enjoy views of the practice green and the Detroit River.
Fridays and Saturday evenings feature live bands, DJs and karaoke. Signature dishes include the all-you-can-eat fish fry, available every day, and the walleye chowder. Executive chef Brian Sharkey, a Grosse Ile High School graduate, sponsors local junior athletics and events for alumni following local football games.
