Since 2001, Jim and Linda Waters have used select grapes from local growers to make award-winning wines such as Chardonnay, Merlot and a distinctive Cabernet Franc. The couple opened a small tasting room, complete with a marble bar set atop oak barrels, located in a strip mall on Route 48 in Cutchogue in 2003. Guests can see the winemaking process in the back of the tasting room from the bar. Waters Crest Wine Club members can get their name laser-etched on specific barrels of wine and can sample that wine straight from the barrel.
